Smack yourself down

The other day in the middle of sparring my sparring partner went for a double leg. I sprawled out of the way and grabbed his arm as I saw an opening for a flying armbar over his back. I paused his move for a moment to get myself into a better position.

Then jump …

… and smackdown side first on the ground.

Needless to say I knocked my own wind out.

Turns out I did a half way version of a normal flying armbar and the rolling one I was going for.

Could not do anything else but laugh.
